Broken or Not offers free hardware tests that run in your browser. We may change, pause or remove any test at any time.

Results Are Guidance, Not a Guarantee

Your browser, operating system, drivers and settings all affect what a test can measure. A result is a helpful indication, not a professional diagnosis or proof of a defect. Check with the manufacturer or a repair service before relying on it for a purchase, return or warranty claim.

Safety

• The stuck pixel fixer flashes rapidly changing colors. Do not use it if you have photosensitive epilepsy or are sensitive to flashing light, and look away while it runs. The dead pixel test fills your screen with solid colors, one at a time.
• The speaker test plays tones, including low bass. Start at a low volume, and never test at a level that hurts your ears or strains your speakers.

You use every test at your own risk.

Acceptable Use

Do not use the site for anything unlawful, try to disrupt or overload it, or copy it in bulk by automated means.

Content and Trademarks

The site’s text, design and code belong to Broken or Not. You are welcome to share your results and share cards. Product names such as PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility. We are not affiliated with them.

No Warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Broken or Not is not liable for any damage or loss arising from your use of the site or its results, including damage to your devices or data.

General

These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept it.
