Controller Tests
Five tests, run in order, find which part of your controller is failing: buttons, stick drift, deadzone, triggers and rumble.
Full Controller Checkup
Test your whole controller in 5 steps. Each result links straight to the next one.
- Gamepad TesterShows every button, stick and trigger on your controller live, and catches buttons that are stuck or press on their own. Works with Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC gamepads.
- Stick Drift TestMeasures how far each analog stick moves while nobody is touching it, and tells you if it is drifting. Works with Xbox, PlayStation, Switch Pro, Joy-Con and PC controllers.
- Controller Deadzone TestMeasures where each stick rests and how far it reaches in every direction, then recommends an in-game deadzone for each one. Works with any controller your browser can see.
- Controller Trigger TestMeasures how far each trigger travels, whether it returns to rest, and how steady it sits untouched. Works with Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC controllers.
- Controller Vibration TestMakes each rumble motor in your controller vibrate in turn, the Xbox trigger motors included, so you can tell which one has stopped. Works in Chrome, Edge and Safari.
Which Test Do You Need?
Button not responding, stuck, or pressing itself? Start with the gamepad tester. It shows every button, stick and trigger live, then checks for buttons that fire with nobody touching them.
Character walking on its own, or the camera creeping? The stick drift test measures each stick at rest, a single Joy-Con included, and tells you if one drifts.
Not sure what deadzone to set, or aim feels off? The controller deadzone test recommends one for each stick and finds directions a stick cannot fully reach.
Car slow to accelerate, or your gun firing late? The controller trigger test checks that each trigger reaches full travel and returns to rest.
Rumble gone quiet? The controller vibration test runs each motor in turn, Xbox trigger motors included, so you can feel which one stopped.
