How It Works
Pick a length (1, 5, 10, 30 seconds), then click the pad. The timer starts on your first click, and every left click until it runs out is counted.
Each click is timed by your browser to the millisecond, so the count stays exact even when you click faster than the screen can redraw. A click that lands a moment after time is up is not counted, however fast the page updates.
Your score is clicks divided by seconds. The test also finds your fastest single second, which shows your top speed separately from your stamina.
Interpreting Your Result
Most people land between 5 and 7 CPS with regular clicking. 7 to 9 is fast.
9 to 12 CPS usually means jitter clicking: tensing your arm to vibrate your finger. Above 12 is butterfly clicking, alternating two fingers on one button, or drag clicking, sliding a finger across it.
Short tests flatter you. Your 1-second score will beat your 30-second score, because speed drops as your hand tires. Compare scores of the same length.
If your clicks sometimes count twice, or a click registers when you did not press, that is not speed but a worn switch. Check with the mouse double click test.
